Virtual Earth Preview

Virtual Earth is a new service by Microsoft that currently is in Technology Preview right now. It hasnā??t even been released for Beta Testing yet.

Virtual Earth is going to be the new Google Maps, but more extreme. It actually allows you to see what the road looks like if you were driving down the street at a specific location. As you move the ā??carā?, the image changes above and shows you what the new road is. It contains cars, buildings and other structures.

Currently, they only have San Francisco and Seattle set up due to the fact that it is not fully released yet. It will be interesting when they decide to add more cities in there like Boston where I can actually decide how accurate the images are because they donā??t have all views in yet so it is just for the ā??shock valueā?.
