Red Sox vs. Blue Jays 04-23-06

Clement4-23-06After a 3 run 1st inning, and then adding another run to the total in the fourth, the Sox were very satisfied with the way the game was going until the bottom of the fourth. Greg Zaun hit a 3 run homer to cut the lead by one and scared the Sox thinking it was going to be like 2 nights ago when they had the big lead and lost it.

In the 8th and 9th, the Sox added on two more runs as insurance. In the bottom of the ninth, the Jays were attacking and with the way this series was going, it was very doubtful if the Sox were going to be able to win. With one out in the 9th, the Jays grounded a double play ball to end the game.

Red Sox Record (12-7)
