NACA Northeast Conference, Day 1

PACE went to the NACA Northeast Regional Conference this weekend to book acts for Plymouth State University’s Spring Semester. 8 delegates traveled down to Marlborough, MA to represent PSU with schools all over New England totaling 1,000 delegates. Acts from all over the country gathered in the Trade Center to get schools interested in them and bring them to their respective college or university. Here are some of the acts that we saw on Day 1:

house-jacks
The House Jacks:The House Jacks of San Francisco are the original rock band without instruments. Using nothing more than their five voices (and mouths), they deliver everything from blistering funk to screaming rock to heart-melting ballads for their ever-growing legions of fans.

Tom Sartori: tom_sartoriTom‚??s recent success on ESPN‚??s WORLD SERIES OF POKER saw him take home 26th place out of 5,613 hopefuls and winning over $300,000. Winner of the critically acclaimed Artvoice Magazine ‚??Top Acoustic Performer Award” and 3 time winner of the Buffalo Music Awards ‚??Top Performer Award‚?Ě, Tom has proven his talent goes far beyond his poker playing. Tom‚??s new album, entitled “LONG RIDE HOME,” was produced by legendary producer Geza X (Meredith Brooks’ multi-platinum “Bitch” and Tyler Hilton/One Tree Hill). A national radio push for the first single, “ONE MORE WHISKEY,” begins February 2006. Sartori’s charismatic stage presence and heart-fealt performances have been packing clubs and college venues night after night. He‚??s developed a loyal legion of fans that have seen him tour in five countries, perform at the NFL Superbowl, Disney World, Mardi Gras, and everywhere between Los Angeles and NYC. He’s also shared the stage with artists like Gavin DeGraw, Josh Kelley, Meatloaf, Cheap Trick, Jessica Simpson, and Chuck Berry.

Since we were at the conference till 12:30am, I will write more about the different acts when I have more time, but for now, check out these acts.
