“Mighty” Mike McGee is an international spoken word artist, writer, performer, speaker, slam poet and comic. He has performed in thousands of venues all over North America, and was one of the first Americans ever to perform poetry at the University la Sorbonne in Paris, France.
Mike was brought to Plymouth State by PACE to perform in the HUB Fireplace Lounge. He was amazing and really enjoyed spending time at PSU. Before the show I told him how I loved one of his poems (NACA showcase) called An Open Letter to Neal Armstrong. While he was performing, he mentioned that I asked him to do the poem and it was amazing. Some of his other poems are called:
- Like
- Made Of
- Dirty Dimes
- Graveyard Shift
- Mycrophone
- The Chase
- Thirds
- I Meant To Say
For samples of his poems check out his myspace page
