Armenian Eagle April Fools Joke Succeeds

A few days ago for April Fools, I wrote a story about how Call Log sold for $200,000 to a Help Desk. I didn’t think anything of it for the last two days but I didn’t really think that anyone would actually believe me, however, I was wrong. While at work today, my boss came into my office and explained that the Office of Public Relations received a Google Alert about my blog post since I mentioned {Insert School Name Here} (To bypass Google Alerts). Apparently there were some emails that were floating around campus about the acquisition and finally got sent to my boss Ken.

Ken thought that it was very funny that OPR did not notice the date that was next to the post title. Zach made a comment saying that the school tries to teach students to validate online services before quoting them, yet Public Relations did not adhere to those same expectations. If only the rumors spread more, it would have made it so much better, however, I still think that it was a very successful prank overall.
