Red Sox Home Opener vs. Mariners

Red Sox LogoAs the Red Sox Home Opener started, it looked as if it was going to be a great game as Josh Beckett struck out Ichiro, but I didn’t realize how good of a game it would really be.

1st: 4-0 (Red Sox)
2nd: 7-0 (Red Sox)
3rd: 8-1 (Red Sox)
4th: 11-1 (Red Sox)
5th: 13-1 (Red Sox)
6th: 13-1 (Red Sox)
7th: 14-1 (Red Sox)
8th: 14-1 (Red Sox)
9th: 14-3 (Red Sox)

JD Drew hit a Home Run in the second inning, Jason Varitek had a 3 hit day doubling his batting average, Josh Beckett gave up 2 hits with 1 run and 8 strikeouts.

Once I convince Vasken to add in functionality to SportStatisfaction, blogging about Sox games will be so much easier. I will have more stats that are well formed and make it look a lot nicer. Stay tuned for more info on SportStatisfaction (Sports Stats for Bloggers).
