Red Sox vs. Yankees (Game 2) – August 29, 2007

Clemens Beckett

Even though it is no longer an 8 game lead like we had two days ago, we still have a 6 game lead over the Yankees after the loss today against Roger Clemens. Four years since the last time the Red Sox faced Clemens and he came out strong. You might hate him, but he is an amazing pitcher just like he always was. He went six innings giving up 2 hits and only one run which was a homer by Ortiz.

The Yankees started off the bottom 2nd scoring 3 runs including a throwing error on Beckett. It wasn’t until there were two outs in the 7th that Beckett’s night finally ended giving up a home run to “A”-Rod (“A” for @$$hole), who jumped around like a little 12 year old school girl after they won. I mean honestly A-Rod, you call yourself a man yet you play ball like girl (Slappy McBlueLips). That was a tangent sorry…Youk brought the Red Sox back within a run, but they were not able to pull the trigger at the end and come back to win it.

Red Sox Yankees Recap Game 2

Schilling will be up against Chien-Ming Wang tomorrow afternoon at 1:05pm for the final game of the series and the Red Sox need to score early and score often to keep the lead to 7 games in the East.
