Today In History: George Washington Takes Oath

Today in 1789, George Washington takes the oath of office as the first President of the United States. I was going to write more, but I am not feeling well, sorry it’s short, but enjoy the quick history fact 🙂

Red Sox Snap Losing Streak; Pedroia Saves Possible Run

After the longest losing streak of the season at 5 games, the Red Sox were able to pull off a win thanks to Kevin Youkilis and Dustin Pedroia. The ball flew over the head of Papelbon and everyone thought it was a RBI single, but Dustin dove then throwing it to first to get the out and end the frame.

Facebook Loves a Whole Lot of Servers

Have you ever wondered how many servers Facebook has? At my work, we have a bunch of servers as well…and by a bunch, I mean chop of a few zeros from Facebook’s total. Sources say that Facebook will be buying $9 million worth more of servers to add onto their $7 million they spend already.

I Love When I Receive Idiotic Phone Calls

Today when I was spending time with my mother, she received a very strange phone call from a medical office in New York. I told him that he wasn’t being very professional and that I would like to speak to supervisor and he told me, “Ma’am, you will have to deal with me first.”

Why Do People Believe Barack Obama Should Drop Out

Obama drops out next week, stating that although he could almost certainly win the nomination by fighting it out until the convention in August, he is simply not willing to drag the party through a battle that will cripple its chances against John McCain.

Harold And Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay premieres tomorrow (April 25th) and I am so excited. I loved Harold and Kumar: Go to White Castle and I have a feeling that this will be just as good.

Why Won’t Hillary Clinton Give Up On Running For President

If Hillary doesn’t drop out soon, I don’t know if the party can pull together and make a decision which in turn will put McCain in office. John McCain is George Bush’s twin…except John McCain was born 200 years earlier.

Bruins Fall Short Against Carey Price And Canadians In Game 7

(I guess their beer isn’t that bad) The Bruins played hard and came back from a 3-1 deficit to force a final game, but unfortunately they were unable to beat Montreal on their home ice. In most of the games, the Bruins were outplaying the Canadians, but Carey Price was remarkable in the first game and last game of the series.
