Celtics Advance To Conference Finals; Red Sox Sweep Brewers

After a rough 7 game battle against the Cleveland Cavilers, the Celtics are returning to the Eastern Conference finals against the Detroit Pistons for the first time since 2002. However, the C’s are going to need to win on the road at some point in this next series. They have not won on the road in the playoffs this year. I know that we have home court throughout, but they don’t want to leave it up to some bad calls by the officials and lose by 1 point. There were a few points in this game 7 that the officials got the wrong call and it went against the C’s.

Lebron James scored 45 points out of the Cavs 92 total points. The big story today was Paul Pierce having the game that everyone was hoping he would have. He scored 41 points of the 97 total that the Celtics had. Finally Kevin Garnett isn’t carrying the team like he has been the past few games. The other two of the “Big 3”, KG and Ray Allen accounted for 17 points. I wish Allen would try a few more times to shoot than he has been, but hopefully he will bounce back against the Pistons. KG was all over the glass today collecting 13 rebounds, 11 of them defensive. Garnett proved why he was the “Defensive Player of the Year”.

Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals starts on Tuesday, May 20th at 8:30pm. “MAKE HISTORY OR BE HISTORY”
Red Sox sweep the 3 game series against the Milwaukee Brewers in two days. After a rain out on Friday night, the Sox played a double header winning both and battled for the final game today.
