While in Armenia in 2001 during the 1,700th Anniversary of Armenia becoming the first Christian nation in 301 AD, I was able to pick up a souvineer to bring back with me to the US. It was a commemorative case that held 40 boxes of matches with Armenian Churches and Locations on both sides of the box.

Armenians Protest Being Called Arminians
Arminianism holds to the following beliefs: Humans are naturally unable to make any effort towards salvation Salvation is possible by grace alone Works of human effort cannot cause or contribute to salvation God’s election is conditional on faith in Jesus Jesus’ atonement was for all people God allows his grace to be resisted by those unwilling to believe Salvation can be lost, as continued salvation is conditional upon continued faith This is 100% different in the Armenian Church and that is why Armenians are protesting against being perceived as such.

Lent: Day 40 – Prayer & Scripture
I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, `My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country.
