NCAA Basketball Championship, Overtime Win For Kansas

The 2008 Championship ended in the Kansas Jayhawks winning the title, but it didn’t come easy. Memphis had the game won….oh wait, they didn’t because the Kansas Jayhawks were cutting the net down at the end of the game.

YouTube’s New API, What A Coincidence

A few week ago (before march 11th), I was at work and looking through the YouTube API figuring out how we could benefit from it. Since I found out about this, my priorities at work have changed to redesigning our sister site (GradCity.com) and once we finish, I will be hoping to add in features from the new YouTube API.

RFID Viruses

Researchers at the Amsterdam’s Free University created a radio frequency identity (RFID) chip infected with a virus to prove that RFID systems are vulnerable despite the extremely low memory capacity on the cheap chips. They are going to adding RFID tags to US Passports, which contain all of our personal private information, and these RFID tags have the chance at being infected with viruses that can publish the so called “private” information to the web or to someone.

Professor ‘Computer terrorist’

“Computer terrorist” Kevin Mitnick is one of the world’s most famous computer hackers and became a cause celebre after breaking into networks and stealing software at companies including Sun Microsystems and Motorola. He can find George Bush senior’s social security number and Leonardo DiCaprio’s mother’s maiden name in under 15 seconds, and led the FBI on a three-year manhunt as he hacked his way into the world’s biggest firms.
