Cheng called Philip and told him that he lost Josh to CTU and Jack, but Philip didn’t care and told Cheng that the deal is over. Jack was about to take Josh back to CTU when he got a phone call to distract him while Doyle took Josh onto the helicopter as agents held him down.

Jack setup Gredenko to make the phone call to Fayed and told him that if he informed Fayed of the situation, he would kill him. Gredenko told Fayed that if they wanted to get out alive, Fayed would need to listen to him.

Jack informed Bill of the target and then tried to turn the drone. Right as the drone was about to cross the perimeter, Jack was able to turn it enough that the nuclear weapon did not explode.
