People were wondering if K-Rod, A-Rod, Justin Morneau, Kevin Youkilis or Dustin Pedroia would win. Pedroia received 16 1st place votes, 6 2nd place, 4 3rd place and 1 4th place vote. Backed by a .326 average, Pedroia lost the batting title by just four points to Minnesota catcher Joe Mauer.

Should The Red Sox Host The 2012 All-Star Game?

The Red Sox have requested to host the 2012 All-Star game because it will be the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park. Other teams (fans) have issues with the Red Sox getting another All Star game in a short amount of time. The last time Fenway hosted an All-Star game was in 1999, 13 years from 2012.

Boston Red Sox Losing 7-0 And Win 8-7 To Force Game 6

It was looking like I was going to be writing an end of the year review for the Red Sox going into the 7th, but I wasn’t going to give up until it was over. Big Papi came up to the plate with 2 men on and 0 outs and hit a deep home run giving the Red Sox home down 7-4.

The Tampa Bay Rays have been an amazing team in the 2008 regular season and it has made people believe that they can’t be touched. Daisuke Matsuzaka did amazing, pitching 7 scoreless innings and striking out 9 batters and he had a no hitter going into the 7th inning. Joe had 20 innings and Pap had 20 2/3 innings.

I just got back from the Red Sox game (which they won) and now there are 16 million people (tickets) who can say that they are a part of history. All of the people who’s tickets in are their name will have their names sent to the baseball hall of fame as part of the historic record.

Manny Ramírez Blasts 500th Career Home Run Against Orioles

Manny Ramírez became the 24th player in MLB history to reach 500 career home runs. Ramirez got every bit of an 82-mph, first-pitch offering from former teammate Chad Bradford and sent it soaring high and far into the Baltimore night. By clubbing six homers in the season’s first 19 games, Ramirez was at 496 on April 19.

What An Amazing Time To Be A Boston Sports Fan – Go BruSox

I couldn’t watch the game live because I was 3.2 miles away at Fenway Park watching the Red Sox beat the Rangers 5-3 on a come from behind win. Big Papi tied the game at 3-3 and then next batter (Manny Ramirez) hit a bomb to give the Red Sox a 5-3 lead.

New MLB Drug Policy, $200,000 Goes To Anti-Drug Charity

The MLB and the players union created a new drug policy for baseball, both MLB and Farm leagues. But he advised that the program should be independently administrated, be more transparent, that testing — in season and out — should be increased, education be a necessary component and that new and better testing practices are able to be implemented without having to reopen the program on each occasion.
