MySQL 5 Does Not Work With ‘Comma Joins’

SELECT * FROM users as u, user_details as d WHERE u.id = d.user_id A comma separated joins are not as efficient nor are they the norm in web development. SELECT * FROM users as u INNER JOIN user_details as d ON u.id = d.user_id Hope this helps!

MySQL Database Storage Engine: InnoDB vs. MyISAM

Over the last few months, I have really enjoyed working with the InnoDB storage engine in MySQL because of its support for Foreign Key Constraints. With InnoDB, you assign it a foreign key to the other tables and as soon as you update the first table, it will automatically update all the other tables linking to it.
