Armenian Matches In 1,700th Commemorative Casing

While in Armenia in 2001 during the 1,700th Anniversary of Armenia becoming the first Christian nation in 301 AD, I was able to pick up a souvineer to bring back with me to the US. It was a commemorative case that held 40 boxes of matches with Armenian Churches and Locations on both sides of the box.

My Trip To Armenia 2001: St. Gregory’s Pit at Khor Virap

One of the greatest places that I visited on my trip was Khor Virap which was the “home” of St. Gregory the illuminator for 13 years as he was imprisoned in a pit by the king for being Christian.

This Day In History: St. Valentine’s Day Massacre

The massacre was a result of a plan devised by Capone’s gang member Jack ‘Machine Gun’ McGurn to eliminate Moran, Capone’s chief criminal enemy. Territorial tensions between “Bugs” Moran and Al Capone about who would own the Chicago bootlegging business and make the most money from it also led Capone to accept Jack’s plan for the killings.
