Turkish Intellectuals Apologize For Armenian Genocide

Turkish intellectuals and academics apologized for the Armenian Genocide that took place in 1915. In October 2007, George Bush (current US President) vetoed the bill that would have recognized the Armenian genocide in the United States because he wanted the Turkish airspace for the Iraq war.

New American Ambassador To Armenia Arrived Recently

Washington has had no full-time ambassador in Yerevan since May 2006 and has attached great importance to sending Yovanovitch there at a time of increasing Russian influence in the region and a worsening conflict with Iran over its alleged development of nuclear arms, officials said at the time.

Recognize the Armenian Genocide

After writing my posts about the Armenian Genocide and Armenian Genocide Denial = Jail Time, one of my friends sent me a link to this video about Recognizing the Armenian Genocide. Up to 1982, many former Presidents have made statements saying that the Armenian Genocide happened, but then the US government was afraid that the Turkish Government would get upset over the use of the word “Genocide”.
