CA Armenian Student, Class Valedictorian, Being Deported

Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who has introduced such so-called private bills in the past, is gathering Arthur’s information to introduce a bill on his behalf, her Washington office said. On Monday, Radanovich plans to meet with the Armenian ambassador to the United States to ask that, if deportation can’t be prevented, Arthur be allowed to apply for a student visa to return to the United States, Pederson said.

Today in History: Wright Brothers Flight

Orville and Wilbur Wright created the first self propelled aircraft and took flight with it. After weeks of delays at Kitty Hawk caused by broken propeller shafts, the Wrights finally took to the air on December 17, 1903, making two flights each in a freezing wind gusting to 27 miles an hour.
